Last night I thought I saw a falling star
I wish I'd never seen it
When I wished upon that star
'Cos when I saw the newsflash
There 'd been a spaceship accident
I saw tears in the eyes of a president
I didn't understand it
Didn't want to know

Why they're building rockets
Why the pilots have to go
But I bet they're spending billions each and every year
Wouldn't they be much more useful here

Why are they shooting for the moon
And they still hoping for a vision to come true
Why are they shooting for the moon

The games they're playing makes it hard believe
That it's in the name of science
That their aim will be achieved
'Cos I havce got my own eyes
I can see what they don't want me to see
And I doubt this is a step for humanity
