Nordic Sounds, Volume 2 is a testament to the vital role played by the best rockgroups of the underground-scene in Sweden during the late 80's. This scene of Swedish rockmusic has existed just as long as the term "rockmusic". From the early years in the beginning of the 60's until today, the underground-groups has put their unmistakable impression on the general music-scene and been that gardenframe out of which new constellations later have risen. It's no exeggeration to declare that without a underground-scene there wouldn't be something to lead the musical development ahead. That's why it'll hopefully always exist. Even though certain conservative foces are doing everything to make the audience watch rockmusic at home on their TV-set, or only ivest in already well-known artists and groups, saying that they're giving the audience what it wants. Joker Records gives the audience what it didn't knew it wanted!. This record doesn't claim to be soem sort of complete sample. Nordic Sounds, Volume 2 is just a totally subjective sampler of 18 of the most thrilling, musically enforcing, challenging and fierce Swedish rockgroups at the moment. Up until August -89 all songs but two haven't previously been released. Take a deep breath, soak them all up and know that today's underground-groups are tomorrow's legends. Into the 90's...
