Formed in 1994. In 1999 Mattias left and was replaced by Martin Olsson. Musically Zilch produces quite basic hard rock with a garagy slightly stonerish attitude and sound topped with non-aggressive vocals.

Trottatorp based Hard Rock band Zilch was created in 1994 by bassist Andreas Nilsson, drummer Marcus Nilsson and guitarist Mattias. Initially the group operated as a covers band, prior to enrolling vocalist Petter Englund in 1995. In October 1996 a first set of demos was recorded. Further demos in mid 1998 led to a self-financed, clear vinyl 7" single, 'Fire Down Below', released in May 1999. That October Mattias departed, being replaced by Martin Ohlsson.
