Diavox (Swe)

DIAVOX was a rock band from Sandviken, Gästrikland. The band recorded a demo-tape, a 7" single and also played  live on Radio Gävleborg in front of 3000 peope at Folkparken, Gävle (together with HELIUM HEAD, TEAMWORK, TRASH, GENOCIDE among others. - article). The band's creators were Tony Eriksson (Ice Force) & Håkan Johansson (Potenz). Later joined by Stefan Göransson (Potenz) and Thomas Eriksson. Thomas left shortly after the recording of the first demo and was replaced with drummer Kari Sääreleä. The band was on hold under 1983 as some members was doing the military service.

The band reformed as ARIZONA in 1984 by all the DIAVOX members, however Tony left shortly after to join MORGANA LEFAY and two new guitarists joined (names?). The band recorded a demo in 1985 with this new line-up but folded shortly after for unknown reasons. Some of the remaining members started to write new material and everything was going great!. But then Kari sadly died in a car accident, nothing was the same after this and the DIAVOX/ARIZONA history came to an end.
