Red Rocket were derived from the melodic metal band The Buttz, who recorded the song "Concrete Boots" fro the 'Rockbox' compilation. Pontus continued with outstanding female singer Nina and recorded the 'Red Rocket' CD. The band also recorded heavy metal versions of Spice Girl's "Denying" and Aqua's "Barbie Girl" for a tribute CD. The band featured bassist Thomas Berndts and drummer Micke Söderlund on these tracks. Another bunch of demos have been recorded, and the band actually still does exist, but unfortunately nothing more has come out of it.
