Rockborgen is a non-profit music association in Borås with approx. 400 members, formed 20 years ago. Concerts, café and equipped rehearsal rooms are the most important activities. New is a simple recording studio, summer concerts in the park and this CD.
Why release a compilation CD with 21 groups from Borås? well not to make money anyway! Borås has long lacked a record label. After the efforts of the 70s and 80s by the Knäpp and Vinyl Company, we at Borgen thought we should give the city's bands a chance to be published. The groups are a cross-section of rock life in our small town. A certain predominance towards heavier music is noticeable, and Punk and Death Metal are also the biggest styles among the city's bands.
