Diary was formed by Tanska as a demo project but later got sponsored for a MCD which they recorded January-May 1998 and released on their own label. Tanska was in the band Black Rose between 1984 and 1987, but only some demos came out of this. He was also in bands such as Snowblind and Rose in the 70's&80's. Ulrik Arturén attended the TV show "Sikta Mot Stjärnorna" in 1995 as John Farnham singing "You're the Voice".
