Luftgitarr 1988 was an air guitar competition held at Vinterträdgården, Grand Hotel, Stockholm. The winner this year was Jörgen "Kovezen" Karlsson. Luftgitarr SM was created in 1982 by Uffe Bejerstrand and was active up till 1992. In 2016, the competition resumed after a longer break with the final at the Sweden Rock Festival.
"Vintergatan" was written by Ulf Bejerstrand and first released on his 1984 album 'Ett Steg Åt Sidan'.
The end of the instrumental B-side features spoken words / chaos by Micke "Svullo / Captain Freak" Dubois.
This album is dedicated to a little girl named Josefin.
