Victory (Swe / Gnesta)

Not to be confused with Victory (Sthlm) or Victory (Laxå).

After Mikael Isaksson left Calamity Blaze to move back to Stockholm, Johnny and Kenneth formed Victory together with the new guitarist Joakim Ringel. They were heavily influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath (Dio era) and Manowar. Their first live gig took place at the local cinema Elektron were they played 3 instrumental songs with a lot of bass and drum solos. They later found a singer by the name Patrik Lindström who really wasn't into metal at all (he played trumpet in the local school orchestra). Victory did a couple of live gigs with Patrik (Ordenshuset in Björnlunda etc) before he quit the band. Kenneth then took over the vocal duties and the band changed their name to Conquest.
