Ad Infinitum was formed in the winter of 1994/1995 by guitarists Micke Jacobsson and Kenny Lundstedt (both former members of death metal acts Internal Decay and Deformity), together with drummer Mikke Nyholm (at that time also a member of Deformity). A non official rehearsal tape was produced in the spring 1995 with Micke and Kenny handling the vocal duties and with Kenny on bass. In the summer of that very year, Janne Sokura was recuited to fill the vacant bass player spot. Almost a full year of intense songwriting and rehearsing followed, until May 1996 when Peter Andersson, who sang and played the bass in Blind Pilot joined the band and thus reduced the 2 guitarists to background vocalists. A few gigs and a demo tape recorded in October 1996 have been keeping the band busy since then. The music best described as epic, emotional metal.
