ANGEL was formed in the late 80's (1987?) as ANGEL. The band won a rock-contest called BAND EXPLOSION in 1989, their prize was a trip to Japan and to play at a crowded Budokoan (about 19.000 people). For a short period ANGELS was at the top of "Göteborgslistan", actually ahead of EUROPE.

ANGEL released their first single "Änglars Dans / Jag Vet" in 1990. They later changed name to ÄNGLARNA and went to Gotland to record their second single 'Ögon (Eyes)' with the same song on the B-side but as a karaoke version. The band folded shortly after the single and Owe, Fredrik and Johannes formed JONNYS BOMB together with Henrik Kjellberg of WITCH, Jonny Linqvist of MOGG, NOCTURNAL RITES and Stefan Lundberg.
