Lezlie Paice released the 7" single 'Fighting Man / People Wanna Know' on Pang Records in 1983. In later years, it was digitally reissued on Spotify with retouched cover art. The band also recorded a demo in 1985 which was unreleased until 2018.
Official Bio Lars TC Anderson and Håkan Ljungtegen formed a band while in school in the mid-1970s, initially teaming up with another classmate. They soon recruited their friend Mikael Mörk on rhythm guitar and named the band X-ray. After a few live shows, they replaced the drummer, added Niclas Jerberg to the lineup, and changed the band’s name to Lezlie Paice. Lars TC and Håkan handled the majority of the songwriting. In 1982, Tony Tillerås joined as the vocalist, and the band recorded their first 7" single, 'Fighting Man' at Pharda Studio in Stockholm during the winter. The single was released in 1983.
The band performed several shows in 1983 but faced challenges in 1984 when multiple members had to complete their mandatory military service, which was obligatory in Sweden at the time.
In 1985, Tony left the band, and they found a new singer after advertising in a major newspaper on the Swedish west coast. After a few months of rehearsals, the band recorded two songs at Micael Serenban’s studio in Gothenburg (Micael is the bassist for the Swedish band Snowstorm). However, due to the new singer’s lack of dedication and the challenges of commuting, he only recorded one song, "Deep In Her Eyes". As a result, Lars TC Anderson stepped in to record "Summer Lovin’". The singer left the band shortly after, and the EP remained unreleased until 2018.
Lezlie Paice disbanded in 1986 when Lars TC Anderson and Håkan went on to form Tinsel Avenue with Mike Bengtsson and Carsten Rickermann, and later Spit It Out! in 1990. Despite the band’s end, the members remain close friends and stay in touch to this day.
