The rock project Majorna / Linnéstaden ...is a collaborative project between the schools, leisure centres, individuals and family care and the adult school in the Majorna/Linnéstaden districts.
In 1996, approx. 220 young people attended in the rock project's activities, divided into about 50 bands. Also in 1996, the rock project participated as organizer or part-organizer in 25 arrangement.
MUTO Is a music association run by the young people themselves. The Music Association MUTO often collaborates with the rock project. Muto is also the name of the compilation tape (this year CD) as the rock project record every year. In 1997, MUTO was recorded for the 5th time.

"It's about getting something out of yourself, letting the beast inside you free". The words are Fredrik Thells. He has played in the rock project for several years and is now the music director. He believes that it is a bit of the essence of the music. To release the beast within through music is to release the powerful emotions that are contained in a teenager.
The rock project has an ambition to be the forum where the beasts of youth are allowed to be set free. If you want to learn something about today's youth culture, start by listening to this CD. I can promise that there is no better beginning. Listen to e.g. on Frank's Bootboys, who give racism a musical slap in the face in just over two minutes. Or enjoy (?) a genuine declaration of love in Inspector Fagott's 'Teenage Girl', and you'll never again complain that young people are apathetic or disengaged.
