Biography
Formed as Screw ca February 1992 but changed to Whimsy ca July 1992 (because of the US band with the same name). The name was changed to Whimzy with "Z" ca 1994.

Their first recorded material was a tape titled 'Inspelning Musikalen' recorded at Musicalen, Gottsunda, Uppsala which included songs such as "Attacked By A Shark" and "Highlander". Meshuggah later did a live-cover of "Attacked By A Shark" on the 2000 compilation 'Power From The North'.

The band recorded some demos and later got a deal with Danish Büms Records and released the debut album 'Gambling With The Future' in 1994. Some more demos, EP's and albums followed with different singers before splitting up after the release of their 2004 album 'Angels To Some...Demons To Others'.
