Info from Janne Starks Encyclopedia
Formed in 1984. A very promising band that unfortunately never did lift off. The first two recordings are quite reminiscient of late Rainbow, while the 7" is more traditional melodic hard rock / AOR. On the first recording the line-up featured singer/guitarist Peo Pettersson, drummer Michael Alexandersen, bassist Niclas Ericson and guitarist Morgan Blomquist. Robban joined in 1986. This line-up lasted for the album only and the last 7" was recorded with the above members. In 1991 former Swedish Erotica/Trazy Goes Crazy singer Tony Niva (latar in Master Massive, Lion's Share and Oxygen) replaced Håkan and the band recorded a full-length demo-album in 1993. It was produced by Tomas Skogsberg, and drummer on the album was Ian Haugland. The band then changed their name to Niva and in 1994 the album 'No Capitulation' was released in Japan. Peo joined Leviticus after the album and in 1995 he released his first solo-album. He also recorded a single with the band Amity, featuring his girlfriend at the time. Peo's solo-album 'Look What I've Started' is in a far more commercial Bryan Adams influenced style than his previous bands. Peo also sings three of the tracks on the Flinstens Med Stanley CD and has a songwriting deal with Sweden Music Publishing. Although he now mostly writes pop/dance/country music, he does some cool solo stuff.

'One Night' was pressed in around 200 copies but was never officially releaed. The line-up then consisted of singer Håkan Johansson, guitarists Robban and Morgan, bassist Peter and drummer Michael Pethrus. In 2000 the band made a re-union, remastered five tracks from the first LP and recorded five new excellent tracks which together became the CD-R 'Axia 2000' (PopProdCD 1707). The last album was also made in the memory of Michael Pethreus and Jerry Karlsson, who were in the initial line-up of the band. The debut album was reissued with the MLP as bonus by MTM in 2004. Bass player Peter Andersson has now recorded some albums with the band Mean Streak.

Biography (from https://www.nehrecords.com/shop/AxiaAxia.htm)
AXIA saw the light 1984 and was formed by Peo Pettersson, Morgan Blomquist, Niclas Ericson, Mikael Alexandersen (Phetrus) The rehearsals and recordings of the first album took place in an old military fort where Peo's Recording studio was located. In between the Swedish air force exercises AXIA recorded 4 songs that turned out to be the tracks on their first EP which was released on Peo's own label PoP Productions. A year later Peter Andersson took Niklas Ericson's place and has been AXIA's bass player ever since! 1986 AXIA recorded their first LP! The Album was released the same year and was distributed by Polygram Sweden. AXIA toured frequently 1984-1989 and made hundreds of gigs in Sweden. 1989 Peo took off and decided to join another upcoming band "Leviticus". This ended Chapter one for AXIA and Peo went to be lead singer in "Leviticus" a band That he had produced and recorded for several years during the eighties! Peo started to record material for the Album Nights of Heaven that was recorded in Los Angeles and Co produced by John Elefante; ex singer in World-famous KANSAS.

From 1989-1991 Peo toured several times in USA, Russia, Australia and Europe. During the Nineties the rest of AXIA spitted up and the members went to new bands and constellations. Almost a decade later the band got together again and decided to work on some new material. The work ended up in a Millennium AXIA version CD with both old and new songs. AXIA also joined for a reunion gig at the local Rock club in their hometown. Two thirds of the way from Stockholm to Gothenburg in Sweden is the area where Peo grew up and still lives. Able to play a variety of instruments (Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Harmonica, Mandolin. as well as being a great singer, programmer, arranger and producer, music has been a part of Peo's life for many years. Surrounded by beautiful Swedish countryside and a musical family, Peo graduated to his own recording studio at the age of 15, located in an old fort. During the 80' s Peo produced and recorded over 100 albums!
