The story behind Mud And Blood... (from http://hem.bredband.net/mudblood/) Once upon a time in the early -80´s, Christofer Hofgaard, Per Öhman and Tapio Kariranta started the band VISION with some friends. The music turned more and more towards progressive hard rock and they changed the name to ELECTRIC SAVAGE around -85. After numerous of drummers passed through, Conny Lind grabbed the sticks in early -88. At last the band felt complete and changed the name to TREZPASS. The band had hard rock-symphonic influences, and did some great gigs and recordings with good response. 1990 the band was history. Shortly after that, Conny and Christofer formed HANG 'EM HIGH. The music was a mix of own material and covers which made it easier to get live gigs. -92 the band was participating on a compilation CD called promo music 92. The mix of material was probably not such a good idea after all, because the focus became blurry and in the end of -93 the band split up. Now there was a time with confused and lost musician souls spreading in the wind. Tapio recruited Michael Lundholm, guitarist from OZ. Some years later Christofer joined up with Michael, starting to write songs for fun. Soon they felt that a real band would be fun and MAPLE FAT was formed. A cover band playing songs from the-70´s,-80´s and -90´s. When the singer Johnny Wedebrandt joined the band, the name was changed to CLOON MACHINE, still playing covers. But the three of us still wanted to write our own songs, and some time in 2005 we decided to start a new band, CRAWLER LANE. With material only produced by our selves. In 2010 the band split up. Christofer and Michael decided to start a new band, with their old friend Tapio “The Wizard” Kariranta on keyboard. This time the course was set towards heavy music with good melodies. We desperately needed a drummer and a singer, so we called another old friend, Conny Lind, and then we got a drummer and a great singer for the “price of one”. MUD AND BLOOD was born and we immediately started to record the song "Wize Man", a song from the ELECTRIC SAVAGE period -86 and it felt like the circle was closed. Since then we have written and recorded new songs, and it’s only the “Wize Man” who knows where it will take us… MUD AND BLOOD contributed with the song "Battlefield" on the ' Kill City Vol. 34 (2011)' compilation. Jari Katila of POWER joined as permanent drummer in 2012.
